NutriStart is a range of oats super foods that launched in Pick n Pay stores nationwide in 2014. While this wheat, maize, sugar, lactose and GMO free cereal was in production, the Engage team was tasked with building an interested and enthusiastic social media audience that would appreciate and understand the health benefits of this new breakfast offering, prior to its launch.
The first step in the process was the creation of a Facebook page aimed at health-conscious South Africans. At the pre-launch stage the focus was on informing and educating while generating excitement around this impressive new product. Following the launch, we continued to build NutriStart’s fan base through competitions, while touting the benefits of the product, and extending NutriStart’s social media reach to include Twitter.
