The project hit particularly close to home because we were essentially working on our initial branding. After about a year in the marketplace, based on feedback from consumers and the various flavour improvement to the drinks, the positioning of the brand needed to change, to resonate more with the market in which the product was finding the most traction.
We teamed up with a local illustrator, Atang Tshikare, whose style really captured the look and feel that the client wanted. The colours were made bolder, and the general take on all the other collateral items was loosened up and made more ‘friendly’. The end result was a brighter and bolder brand that spoke to the right market.
Apart from the branding aspects of the job, we also set up and continue to manage Original Mason’s social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This includes the content planning for the monthly calendar, copywriting, artwork design, as well as implementation, monitoring, optimisation and reporting. We also develop campaign strategies, run competitions, as well as collaborate with retailers, restaurants, bars and other on-consumption venues, on the various social media platforms.
